Hartek Systems was founded by Mr. Duan Harvey a former Communications and Operations Officer in the US Army Signal Corp. Mr. Harvey has a bachelor degree in Computer Science from North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University. Mr. Harvey has worked for several well known Information Technologies companies to include L-3 Communications, UNiSYS, EMC, KForce, VistaRMS, FC Business Systems, Communications Technology, LCC International and American Systems Corporation. While working for these companies he has held several positions, Solutions Architect, Project Manager, Storage Manager, Information Security Engineer Manager, Liaison Officer, Storage Engineer, Disaster Recovery Engineer, System Engineer and Network Engineer while working as a contractor at the US Courts, Department of Veteran Affairs, Department of Transportation, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, US Army and the US Navy.

He has a strong knowledge of operations and management of heterogeneous networks, this includes planning and managing enterprise storage networks, tiered storage solutions (storage area networks, network & directly attached storage, content attached storage), high availability solutions, server consolidation, operating systems, messaging solutions, business contingency and disaster recovery, security solutions, data archiving and virtualization solutions.
